Current Skin Care Routine

21.4.20

it's taken me God knows how many years to nail down a skin routine that finally works for me. But now, at nearly 29 years old, I think I've got it (for now!).

It's really important to remember that one skin routine will not always work for you, whether it's age, puberty, the seasons.. there can be multiple factors that sometimes you need to change things up a bit.

This is what I use below, and when;
Morning Routine:

Mario Badescu Keratoplast Cream Soap
All I literally do is splash my face with warm water, squeeze a little this into my hands and rub together to make it foamy. I then gently rub this into my skin in a circle motion before rinsing off with warm water and patting dry with a towel.

Mario Badescu Aloe Vera Toner
After washing my face, I put some of this toner onto a pad and again, rub on my face in a circle motion. I wait until this is completely dry before continuing doing anything else.

The Ordinary Granactive Retnoid 2% Emulsion
This is a serum which helps soften fine lines on your face, revitalises your skin and can also improve pigmentation issues. All you need is 2 drops of this, rub into your hands and pat it onto your face evenly and let dry.

Mario Badescu Aloe Moisturiser or Oil Free Moisturizer
This is the last step for my skincare routine in the morning before applying my make up. My skin can be oily, dry, sensitive.. it basically depends what part of my face it is! I find both these moisturisers work fine for all over my face, plus they have an added SPF30 sunscreen added - double win!

Evening Routine:

Garnier Micellar Water
I absolutely love this stuff! It's so easy to use and will literally wipe anything away. All you need to do is get some cotton pads, squeeze some water onto the pad and wipe all the make up off.

Mario Badescu Keratoplast Cream Soap
I'm then back to what I do during my morning routine! Nothing different I do here in the evening.

The Ordinary Lactic Acid 5% + HA
This is a gentle exfoliator which helps skin texture and pigmentation. It works best for me at night. Like in my morning routine, all you need is 2 drops of this, rub into your hands and pat it onto your face evenly and let dry.

Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre
This is a different, heavier moisturiser which I only use at night time. It keeps my skin hydrated until the next day and only a little drop needs to be used.

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion
I do not use this every day, however, if I'm having a break out, I skip the last 2 steps and use this. This literally will get rid of spots overnight! I always use a cotton bud to dip into the pink powder at the bottom then blot onto any break outs on my face.

Is there anything you've found to be your ultimate product(s) in your skincare routine?
