Looking at Yourself through your Partner's Eyes

Lately, I've had a lot of body hang ups. And I mean a LOT.

I've put on weight due to my coeliac disease (which I've been told will drop off again), I hate my hair, my skin isn't clear and dewy.. the list is endless.

And who's at the top of my list for listening to my body hang ups? Yep, Calum, my boyfriend.

Coeliac Disease: Whats it all about?

I know what you're thinking. What does this picture have to do with Coeliacs? Your answer is nothing at all. But there is no actual picture of this condition. People won't know the suffering from it.

So, I was diagnosed with coeliac disease in April 2015, even though I've had stomach problems all my life and most likely to have had this all my life.

I've been finding it hard. Extremely hard.

CHSS Forth Rail Bridge Abseil

I was on a train to Glasgow when I seen this advertised, to do an abseil down the Forth Rail Bridge for Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland. This charity has a big meaning to me, especially as my Grandad had these kind of problems before he passed away. As soon as I saw it in March, I knew I had to do it.

Jurrasic World

When I first heard a new Jurassic film was coming out, I was soooo excited! I'm a bit of a geek and could literally play a part in the past films as I've watched them that much.

Current Favourite Perfumes

At one point in my life, I could have opened my own perfume shop with all the perfume I owned. Now I only have a few bottles to choose from which makes it so much easier!

Vera Wang - Princess
This has always been my favourite perfume for a good few years now. I love how sweet it smells and that it lasts all day! Without a doubt, I go through two of the biggest bottles a year, even though I don't wear it every day.

Calum and I are members of Cineworld (highly recommend getting a card!), so we are always at the cinema. Both of us were wanting to see this for a while, we always wait until the hype goes down before we see it ourselves. Even though we went a week or so after the release it was still pretty busy!

Whats In My Bag?

I'm a massive fan of handbags. I've lost count how many clear outs over the years I've had to get rid of some over the years (some I wish I didn't but hey ho!). I got my first ever Louis Vuitton bag for my 21st birthday and I've not parted with it since. It's very rare to see me using another bag now a days as nothing can match up. I love how it's big enough for absolutely everything and has my initials in gold!

All About The Shoes!

I'm a bit of a shoe collector. Whether that be heels, plimsolls, pumps.. you name it I probably have it! So this is a little round up of my must have shoes on my current wish list.

20 Facts About Me

1. I'm 24 years old but I still get ID'ed for the national lottery..

2. I'm really into history and art, you can always catch me drawing with charcoal or reading something on royal history.

3. I've only been abroad twice to France (Euro Disney and Paris when I was 11) and Amsterdam last year. Calum and I have booked a holiday to Menorca this year though which I'm really looking forward too!

4. I have to drink EVERYTHING through a straw. If I don't have a straw, I won't have a drink unless its just water. I don't like the thought of the sugar, etc touching my front teeth.

5. Calum and I can sit and watch Food Network for hours. I love getting ideas for cooking from it!

6. I don't have a sweet tooth. I hardly ever eat sweets, I don't like sugary cakes, etc. I'm more of a pastry person.

7. I have Coeliac Disease. I've only been diagnosed this year so I'm still trying to adjust. It annoys me that I have to look at every single label now and can't go to my old favourite eat out places.

My make-up on a daily basis

I love makeup probably a bit more than the average girl. I have a dressing table drawer full of it. And don't get me started on my hair tower, which also has some makeup..

Anyway, I thought I would share what I use religiously everyday for my natural makeup look.

Estee Lauder DayWear Cream

I wasn't really sure of this product at first. And now I wouldn't look back. I love how its so light, non greasy and has a beautiful smell. I will definitely be purchasing a bigger jar very soon.

My little furry friend

Now, if you know me personally, you know I'm a massive animal lover, especially dogs. Over the years I've had loads of pets - countless goldfish and budgies, an evil hamster and three dogs (all at different times of course!). But the dog I'm mentioning is like my personal cuddle buddy - even though he doesn't belong to me.

10 things I would tell my 16 year old self

1. Please leave your hair it's natural colour.

I'm probably not the only one who experimented with their hair, but the extent I went to was unreal! First, I had blonde "patches" (was obviously so cool at the time). Then when crazy colour came in, you name it I had it. Red, blue, green, pink.. the list goes on! Oh and not forgetting the Pineapple hair do. Worst. Haircut. Ever. After this phase, I dyed it all a lovely chocolate brown, complete with harsh clip in extensions! As soon as I left school, I went for a white blonde pixie cut (drastic I know!) The upkeep of this was burning a hole in my pocket, so guess what I done? Yep, went for the black hair dye.. hundreds of £££'s and three years later - I went back to my natural colour - hurrah!

2. Boys are lame.

Just what it says above. Everyone in school was going out with everyone - me on the other hand didn't have my first proper boyfriend until I left school. And I'm glad. Too much high school drama for me. Obviously had school crushes but hey that's what high school is for right?

3. Make-up that doesn't suit your skin tone is a big no-no.

Orange concealer, white neck, panda eyes - just no. I'm now 24 and I'm always discovering new products or tricks. But at least now I'm embracing my paleness and wear proper makeup instead of the orange pan stick out Semi-Chem! Estee Lauder for life.

Mental health - my story

So, this probably isn't the happiest post to start with, but I thought I would get it out the way. I have suffered from various mental health problems over the last couple of years. Depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder and OCD. Quite a lot huh?

But regardless of these labels, I still get myself out of bed in the morning. I still go to work. I still try and socialise, etc. Yes, I do have bad days where I would much rather hide under my duvet cover singing with my Smule Karaoke app and watch Disney films, but these are now very few and far between.
